Being striked by the power of Joan Miro’s work is an once in a life time experience. Fundació Joan Miró contains an amazing collection to enjoy and then you will have the time fall in love with the views over the city of Barcelona and the lines of the building designed by Josep Lluís Sert. While you think that you have seen it all, I suggest you get lost in the area and you will for sure run into an interesting fence by Christo (Running Fence document about Christo and Jeanne-Claude’s project).

Parc de la Ciutadella

Simply a magical place with lakes, mesmerizing sounds coming from beautiful fountains, a fairy tale glass house and if you spend enough time here you will even see a big mamut..

There are three levels with a simple yet beautiful terrace on the top floor.The federal café is the perfect place for a brunch and as soon as you will enter this beautifully decorated spot the welcoming staff will make you feel special. Take your time to read the menu given that there are more options than in a regular cafe: gluten free, lactose free Last but not least it is worth noticing the flowers all around its interiors!

La Boulangerie

If you are looking for a nice place to have breakfast before heading to gaudi’s marvels or a short break with yummy pastries or homemade sandwich this could be a good option.This cafe litterally has seven tables so hopefully you will arrive at the right moment. Thumbs up for their chocolate muffin unfortunately the cappuccino is not one of the best in town.


One of the cuttest cafés in the Sant Antoni area, it makes you feel at home from the moment you go through its door. The colourful retro decor with many DIY items will captivate you imediately. The cappuccino is trully one of the best in town and the salads are really good too.

Luzia restaurant

A brasserie located in Raval right next to Rambla Catalunya, Luzia is for sure one of the best in town! The menu is trully rich offering different options to satisfy different tastes. A separate sushi menu is also provided. The grilled salmon is simply delicious.

Vegetarians will be happy in this place given that there are several delicious options for them including salads and the vegetarian sandwiches.It worths a note that you can see the chef preparing the pizzas in front of your eyes!

Just off the rambla catalunya in calle de carme, you will find this big cafe wich is litterally accessible to all budgets.It is perfect for breakfast and light lunch with freshly made sandwiches, boccadillos, croissants and pastries.


A retro styled cafe situated in the Sant Antoni neighbourhood, with very affordable prices and great coffee!! People working in Taranna café are very friendly and the atmosphere is like being at home. The menu contains homemade snacks, delicious cakes, sandwich and pastry to satisfy your sweet tooth.


Camino Store

Camino store is a beautiful concept store a few minutes walk from the MACBA museum in Barcelona in Carrer d’Elisabets. The concept of the brand lies on traditional manufacturing,experienced craftsmanship,independent design concepts and most of all limited production series with locally sourced materials. Their shoes are of great quality but if there is one item that I would choose from their collection is their hats!!
